Quick Car Update

2 weeks ago I had the Acura RL, their flagship vehicle.

300 hp, every feature you can imagine, the interior colour (which isn’t translating in photo) was a cream coloured leather everywhere, like butter.

My review prints this week, and it contains 2 lines I invented that are pure gold.

That’s day-of-the-photos, but actually spent the majority of time driving their crown jewel in jogging pants.

Re-broke my toe slamming the brakes on College Street on Saturday evening (not my fault). Saved the car though; I never ever want to have to make that phone call.

Had this Chevy Spark the week before that, just never blogged it.

84 hp! (non-car nerds: anything below 3 digits makes car nerds roll their eyes). For what it is though, I thought they did a good job with 84 hp.

The colour though, woah it’s bright. That green continues into the interior, into everywhere.

That review prints 3 weeks from now.

Then I was back in my Jetta for a minute.

I sometimes prefer this lunch box to the new cars I drive, just because like, less worry. As in, you’re looking at almost $100,000 above, like that.

I’m closing in on my next benchmark, $1.5 million in cars tested.

I'm Healing like Wolverine

Barely any dramatics, actually am; not-even-human fast.

My theory is to be hard on an injury; babying it only prolongs things, plus it’ll heal all pansy-like and crooked.

I’m still not totally normal though, why have I become so clumsy? This was a first:

It was full too, and glass everywhere.

Fast Keri Fact – I’ve worn the same perfume since grade 11.

Wednesday was a big car swap day – drove 4 different vehicles 180 km, might be my new record.

Found this on my windshield at GM.

Ha that’s from my boss; we speak in code.

My Accord review prints next week.

Not only is it one of my favourite cars out there, but this is definitely my best-written review to date. Oh WAIT till you read this one line I invented, it’s so good I texted it around to everyone all braggy-like.

What you should not listen to me about is fuel economy. Ugh.

Since starting writing technical reviews for the paper, my phone is full of photos like this:

I have to record and monitor my fuel economy now, something I never paid attention to, and still barely do. Boring.

Caught the Jay’s home opener from the Honda box.

I’ve never loved baseball, but somehow each summer I end up at least 3 games. What I do love is the excited energy of 50,000 people.

What a week, I’m glad it’s done. Don’t think I’ve ever blogged such a statement.

I abhor drama, but despite my efforts it still somehow finds it way in. Nothing I can’t handle, but drama is draining regardless, isn’t it (and thank you to you, for not destroying me like you could have).

Kay I have to finish my ‘Accord Fact File’, and then see ya later computer I am outta here!  I have an Acura RL this week that needs to go for a good drive.

Have a great Saturday night TTYT.

Been Evolving my Look Guys

See the zipper? A fashion detail.

Now that my hair’s almost long, a ponyhawk.

Mostly I just dainty-fied my existing look eh, “classy commando”.

Two recent favourite outfits.

Bought my first eyeliner.

Signed, the world’s oldest tomboy

I’m wearing pencil skirts now.

Pretty comfortable too, you could sprint in this one.

Fashion show over, the tape has started to fall over the lens.

Look, it’s a triangle.

If I make this sign with my hands, does that mean I’m a member of the i1100m1n@t1?

(like how I’m avoiding being tagged for typing it?)

About them, I’ll say this:

Oh I totally get it, it’s just not my thing.

Happy Long Weekend Offine

Hope you too took some downtime. I took off to see my BFF.

Played a Nintendo Wii for the first time.

Saucering.

My BFF can beat up your BFF.

If you need photos you need Suzy Lamont.

I’m having trouble putting into words why, because I’m so proud of her it keeps coming out in giant paragraphs. It’s just, I was there at the beginning, watched her self-teach herself to the top, people ship her internationally to photograph things, I wish I could list names, and more awesomeness that is not my news to tell, she’s just subtly dominating. This isn’t “BFF coloured glasses on” talk either, she’s it. Ok I got gushy again. Suzy gets the shot, because she gets it out of you.

Click here to watch a video of her photoshoot for Trash Couture. The designer saw her stuff, and asked if she’d photograph their dresses. So she orchestrated this amazing shoot at an airbase.

Here’s another video of another photo shoot of the above photo.

Heather Haynes recently painted Suzy this beautifulness.

This week’s car is a 2013 Civic Coupe.

I’m a fan of the Civic, you know this though. I’ve got a review about it in a few weeks.  This week my ‘Buick Encore Test Drive‘ article runs.

Replenished my jogging pants supply.

And that’s that.

Not my best storytelling post, I’m still a bit wiped guys, from last week. All is good. But need an assistant real soon like now.

TTYT – massive Auto Show posts coming.

Blog Break’s Over, Here’s What You Missed

Me typing a lot of things.

How sweet my place looked going into the Chinese New Years.

Looks like a hotel, eh!  All white and crisp.

My place would look good on Pinterest.

Found this little guy when cleaning; when I was very young, he came everywhere with me.

Stayed in a fancy downtown hotel.

It’s weird staying in a hotel in your own city.

Went around looking good in my hat.

I’ll probably make one of these my new profile pic, which is due to be changed.

Replenished my jogging pants supply.

Busy busy week!  For auto journalists, this week is like the Olympics.

The Canadian Auto Show kicks off tomorrow, and we’re live-blogging it for the paper’s first time (ScribbleLive!), and I have lined up a first-look at something awesome for you to see.

I filmed my first ever TV segment this morning, talking about the auto show on Sun TV, should be available to embed tomorrow.

That’s all I got right now, I have to start preparing, update my gear and practice more with ScribbleLive. I also set-up my Galaxy to use tomorrow, the one TELUS gave me.  I wanted to use my new BlackBerry, but Scribble’s not yet available for BB.  I’ve got a post started to tell you about the phone, short answer: the OS is solid, the upside-down-L gesture is efficient, and business people you’re going to love it.

It IS time to upgrade my phone though, this old iPhone 4 is no longer cutting it.

Look how grainy, that’s not good.

Night, TTYT
