New Job Outfits

New clothes! I’m no longer “sporty mercenary,” now I’m “business casual.”

Last time I had new clothes was January 2014 #BenefitOfBlogging

And that’s the irony of a blog right there – I’ve travelled the world while staying in 5-star places, tested over $12 million in cars, but couldn’t afford new sneakers.

Casie became my stylist. When I got hired she drove up to celebrate, arriving with beers and a bag of new clothes. Now that’s a BFF eh!

She advised me on how to build a “capsule wardrobe,” and gave me a style she calls “monochromatic minimalist.”

But I’m most pleased to report this:

In the very first week, I legitiamlly showed up to work in… jogging pants HAHA.

Add that to the blog tagJogging Pants (27)

Probably shouldn’t find that tag’s size so amusing.

Here we go deleting the World’sOldestTomboy.com

Use my New Mobile Site Like This Please

As you probably know, Google recently implemented a new rule that penalizes websites that are not optimized for mobile (for more info, read Casie’s post here.)

It wasn’t that I missed the deadline, I was early actually. It’s that on your phone, KeriBlog.com now looks like this.

From a colourful fun land to bland grey box time.

What do I always say – a sidebar is the essence of a blog – and now it’s gone. Despite this blog’s content being bright and cheerful, it looks opposite. Go search for something and get depressed too. And because mobile is quickly overtaking laptop, this paragraph was typed with my head hanging all low and sad.

It’s because I never once set a featured image for a post, all 2,000 posts, so no way can I fix this.

So please scroll to the bottom of my blog
and choose “Switch to Desktop Version”

Then instead of looking like the “Before” picture, it will look like this:

Original post: Learned how to Weld

Emoji-Keri

My contact screen in Casie’s phone. I’ve never been an emoji before, I am looking good.

Actually, I’ve never used an emoji before, ever.

I type a :) about 3x/week, and that’s as far as it goes.

Deadlines Done, now Let’s Day Drink

No dramatics, soon as I hit publish I’m disconnecting from the intenert and cracking a Coors Light.

I already picked up Casie from the train station, she’s downstairs blogging right now, my house is filled with typing sounds.

Here, I’ll show you…

We’re like, the last 2 bloggers standing…  first in, then was the era where everyone and their dog had a blog, then we outworked and outlasted them all and are probably two of the most successful bloggers in the country.

kk enough, time for ridiculous jokes I can’t begin to explain, and can’t wait because the last time I partied while the sun was up was…. a year? At least.

Happy Valentine’s Day to you! XO

TTY Monday, have a great weekend and I’ll cheers you in 3, 2, 1…

Cleaning off my Phone

Things from the last few weeks.

Catchup with Casie xo

We built our blogs together. Are you reading hers? You ought to – CasieStewart.com, and her Twitter is consistently one of the best curated feeds.

My comforter project is almost complete.

And my fan finally arrived, look how beautiful! Look how excited I am about a fan?

Home-owning makes me excited about things I never thought I’d be. Blog tag = house

I track the planets and planetary alignments.

This security project kicks off this week, it’s very good.

Monthly steak with a BFF, a 5 year tradition.

And I’m trying, hard, to learn to make food.

This is actually good for me, plus I didn’t have to go to the store first or anything.

Caught up with an old friend over the holidays, “remember this?”, “remember that?” and “wait we documented it…”

Re: the masks – that’s the 1st time I’ve dressed up on Hallowe’en in 20 years, and I’m still paying for it.

I’m not guys, same answer as another organization, last line here.
