Cars, Security and a Peek into my Life
WEAR SUNSCREEN! YES I’m yelling at you. You’ll thank me in 2034.
Remember ‘The Emporium’…? When I set up all my belongs like a department store and invited people to come take my stuff?
That video is half-edited, it’s getting there. There’s just never enough time, is there.
Actually, I’m going to go ahead and re-embed an old video here, one from my ‘Just a Minute Series’
How about my new blog titles eh??? … come ON :D
But Keri on Security… oh this is some of my best work yet. Have a half-drafted post here for later this week with shots from the intro and more.
Also…
Here’s the link to Posterous – go start that blog you’ve been daydreaming about.
It sort of looks like I green-screened this video, doesn’t it?! ;)
TTYL!
If you are on Twitter and live in Southern Ontario, come!
It’s the holiday season’s classiest event, and it raises money for an important cause: feeding hungry Toronto people, because charity starts at home.

Founded in 2008, HoHoTO has been called, “the party that Twitter built”, it’s closing in on $200 000 raised for the Daily Food Bank, and is run completely by volunteers on a budget of nothing.
Queen Rania of Jordan has even used HoHoTO as a shining example of social media influencing online do-gooding. So cool eh.
Here’s my Twitvid from last year inside the party, which is dark, but you can just feel the fun.
Come ready to buy raffle tickets and donate heavily, make sure to have your photo taken by Photojunkie, cabs home you know the drill, and don’t be shy… this is always the kind of crowd who’ve all been in that boat…. “hi, I know you from Twitter and the internet…”, say hi!
Me last year:

Here’s a relational chart I made using the search “hohoTO”, for fun.

See you Thursday!
The design started in my head Spring 2010.
It started out like this:
Then I went on a couple URL buying sprees (click here and here).
The core and guts were built over a long weekend, and while it looks simple, it was not. I changed hosting providers at the same time, too. There was a lot happening, and this was a few weeks into having just moved, and living out of my trunk.
Various stages of development.
Before being ported over to KeriBlog.com, the new site was built under this URL, HAHA:
The Canadian Explorer was migrated over and converted from SquareSpace to WordPress, something I always wanted but didn’t think I’d ever get… for those of you not living full time in nerd world, that is a really big deal. Thanks Vito! If you’re lucky, he’ll help you too.
It’s the most beautful thing I’ve practically ever seen, do you even know HOW long I’ve been looking at this in my head.
So I documented its creation.
It’s really coming along, click to see :) —–> KeriBlog.com
I don’t collect anything, never have. In fact, I’m currently in super-purge-mode, I’ll show you later this week.
URLs though, that’s a weakness. I now have 40!
Behold:
I’ve been at this for years. I keep a list on my phone. Sometimes when I want to zone out, I sit running seraches, see if they’re available
This is what I bought last time.
A big thanks for Hover for enabling my borderline obsession.
$15/year, privacy included, which is a good deal. Plus when you call, someone in downtown Toronto picks up. Hopefully for you Mike picks up. This is Mike. Ha, hi Mike! It’s still funny :|
