Welcome to My Newly Built Home Online

The design started in my head Spring 2010.

It started out like this:

Then I went on a couple URL buying sprees (click here and here).

The core and guts were built over a long weekend, and while it looks simple, it was not. I changed hosting providers at the same time, too. There was a lot happening, and this was a few weeks into having just moved, and living out of my trunk.

Various stages of development.

Before being ported over to KeriBlog.com, the new site was built under this URL, HAHA:

The Canadian Explorer was migrated over and converted from SquareSpace to WordPress, something I always wanted but didn’t think I’d ever get… for those of you not living full time in nerd world, that is a really big deal. Thanks Vito!  If you’re lucky, he’ll help you too.

It’s the most beautful thing I’ve practically ever seen, do you even know HOW long I’ve been looking at this in my head.

So I documented its creation.

It’s really coming along, click to see :) —–> KeriBlog.com

Thoughts on Being a Paid Blogger

The aforementioned tweet.

Thoughts?

Below is a collection of articles written recently, mostly by fellow bloggers, about the state of the industry.  These are the type of articles that started flooding the internet last week.

Send me any I missed, and I’ll link them up.

I’m Being All Deer-in-the-Headlights

Tonight I reflected back on my first week being online again; it was great…

4 videos, some posts on a solid big-girl blog on my own little server, still no Twitter till I fix my phone, found FinalCut fun again, and a general shift in everyday life to be actively always documenting. When I took a break over the summer I really took a break eh, I did the bare minimum on my email accounts and that’s it.

Know what though, I’m being all deer-ish, like I kinda went from dancing in the street at the Olympics to freezing up a bit before blogging a photo. It’s surprising me, and annoying me a little, and ya.

Getting into Facebook is coming soon WOW do I ever have a mental block against that site.  I could make a whole video just about that.  I’ve only ever uploaded 2 photos to it, I login bi-monthly.

Anyway, here’s the aforementioned video, “Celebrating the Olympics Through Dance”.
