Keri's Christmas Extravaganza SOFT LAUNCH

You’ve probably seen the ‘sneak previews’ of the prizes.

I haven’t yet shown you the grand prize; Best Buy really came through on that one.

There’s more on the way, too; I’m still taking delivery of stuff!

$3,200+ in prizes to give away next week!
All of Canada is eligible!

Filmed a video all about it last night.

Even got the footage into Final Cut, before I collapsed at 6am.

I even have an original soundtrack for the video, thanks Hrvoje!

So with all that, and as I said I would launch the Extravaganza today, I officially welcome you to…

The 2nd Annual ‘Keri’s Christmas Extravaganza’! – SOFT LAUNCH

Enter your email to win!

As soon as I finish setting up MailChimp, and trouble-shooting why contests@KeriBlog isn’t connecting, and edit the video, and link up all the prizes in a blog post, and take delivery of the remaining prizes, then photograph them, then we’re ready to go!

Everything should be done by tomorrow.  I’m taking my Grandma to her Christmas party in Mississauga tonight, then back home to hunch over my laptop.

(Please don’t send this post around, wait till I finish the proper one)

Really excited to properly launch this contest, excited to give back to you, because thanks for always checking in here.

It’s That Year-End Reflecting Time

Been sitting like this a lot lately. Hand-over-mouth when thinking, always.

Have you also been taking stock,
and plotting for the year ahead?

Bottom right – the tape is starting to flop down over my laptop lens.

It always does; that’s why I use electrical tape.

I think it’s weird if you don’t cover your lens.

Remotely controlling a camera, is easier than you think.

Bye now.

And That Concludes 2012

I’ve been studying ‘the rhythm of a year’, all year.

And that, was the last business week of the year. The 3rd week in December is for tidying up loose ends, and then it’s talk to you in 2013.

Last year, I made this video, “About How a Year Really Is“:

Filmed August 2011.

Today, I’d modify the write-off times, shorten them, like this: forget getting anything done mid-July through to September 1, and starting the third week of December on.

Wonder if it’s worth it, to design your life around this, and take advantage of the waves.

Blogging in Action

Hand over mouth, always.

Talking to myself, smashing the keys, horrible posture, probably chewing gum.

You could stand beside me yelling, and I wouldn’t hear you over my concentration.

As IF This Post is Dated December

And that’s 2012, guys.

Hope you had a great weekend, too.

My first real auto review comes out this week (remember the embargo?). On that topic, sorry for the lag on the blog here, I had more deadlines than usual last week.

Tomorrow, swapping out the Rogue for… a pickup truck YES.  Always wanted one.  It’s a Nissan Titan SL Crew Cab:

Broke out my winter coat. Tis the season, I turn into SpongeBob.

Had it since ’08. I went for the boxy version – lots of function / little fashion.

Bonuses are: all the pockets means, no purse till April, and it’s dramatic when my coat is open, how little I appear.

Plus I’m getting stronger – bet it weighs 7 pounds, on a normal day.

Love Bulk Barn. I’ve eaten a lot of #505.

Ladies – shellac nail polish, it’s a revolution: there’s no dry time.

The black ones are too grown out for sure, but see how there’s no chips? That’s 3 weeks.

Did my bi-annual buy.

I’ve detailed my shopping approach before – I don’t go shopping, I go buying.

And like last time, not all black, tada.

Top right – I killed at pool that night; I couldn’t miss any long shots… smash it down the table, the pocket echoes beautifully, all night long.

Here’s to a great start to your week tomorrow, 4 more left! If you’ve been thinking of starting something, now’s a good time, so in the future you can say, “Founded in 2012”.
