I'm a Great Toronto Tour Guide

A couple members of my cycling team were in town today.

If you were to come to town, I’d take you to California Sandwiches.

When I first moved here I was hooked, no, like 4 times a week for dinner, by the end there I could eat two. I gained at least 15 pounds… I’ve got some footage somewhere of me losing it a little, “I moved to Toronto and got f*cking huge, THAT’s how it all came to be”.

That footage is from an episode you’ve never seen, and that I’ve hidden somewhere on the internet; clues coming soon.

This season will be my 3rd year having a team, and 2nd as president.  I’ll post my cycling episode at the bottom.

Then I’ll take you wherever it is you’d like to go while pointing out interesting things along the way….  this corner is one of the busiest in North America (Bay & Front)… here’s where I did my best curb hop on my bike ever… this is one of the largest carrier houses in North America.

I’m a lot of fun to drive with.

Wouldn’t that be funny if that was actually my suitcase? That set of wheels is $5000.

Two things I saw and wanted:

Candy that’s good for you… JellyBelly’s with vitamins in them COME ON.

And that’s a Jetboil… I’ve had this idea where I can feed myself very nutrionally between one of those and a Magic Bullet.

I was telling the sales guy about my idea, but he said you’re not supposed to cook inside with them, the fumes will get to you. I hadn’t thought of that at all.  They run off butane.

Hope you had a good day, too!

Just a Minute – Have the Winter Blues Too?

I know it’s coming, and still I’m surprised every year when it does. I just figure since I know of it’s impending arrival, that “seasonal affected disorder”, shouldn’t my brain just be unaffected by now? Kick out those thoughts?

Click here and here to see a city in China like the one I’m talking about; I think they’ll help you feel better.

And my go-to line is, “it could be far worse… you could be living in Rwanda, a war-torn country, looking for a bug for dinner…”.

Spring is coming, it’s darkest before the dawn and all those cliches. Stay positive!

This is THE Marketing Conference to Attend

It’s the Art of Marketing at the MTCC March 7.

I’ve been invited to attend, and click here for the KeriBlog $50 off promo so you can come, too! We can hang out with other marketing people and trade tips.

I’m most excited to hear these three speak:

Guy Kawasaki because hellooooo Cheif Evangelist of Apple, and specifically, he’ll discuss, “how to influence what people will do while maintaining the highest standards of ethics”.

Avinash Kaushik because analytics and are so interesting, and something I would like to be better at.  And Avinash’s thing is you can do it in a hour/day, which is great because there is never enough time.  Oh time.

And oooooof course Gary Vaynerchuk.

Remember that time I interviewed Gary?  Love him.

Hope to see you there, learning is fun and if you see me yell hi!!

A BFF Visit

Suzy and I have been friends for 10+ years. Here we are in December.

If you are ever my guest I will pickup supplies that look like this, then arrange them in a pleasing fashion. No I won’t cook for you.

She’s a professional photographer, also all-self-taught, and I cannot wait till you see the slideshow I’m putting together of our shoot Saturday night that we so efficiently pumped out.

She got some great ones of Casie, too.

The three of us were walking home, Suzy’s lagging behind, “what are you doing back there?” and her reply, “posting to Tumblr” and I look back and her smirk said, “two big city bloggers huh, who’s winning right now…”

Ahaha YES lady, everything is a competition isn’t it?!  We used to have a regular one called, “Whose Fridge is Cleaner”.  I usually won, but have an unfair advantage.
