Meet Me in a Few Videos

Hi DigiSo –

If we’re meeting for the first time I’m Keri, I’ve been sharing my life online since 2007, and I especially like making videos. Of the 140+, below are a few favourites.

Find me fastest on Twitter @KeriBlog, my DigiSo bio sums me up well, email anytime, TTYS!

I'm Wiped There I Said It

I think living on the road for 4 months caught up with me today. Since leaving Toronto I haven’t stopped. Maybe I’ll add up the miles tonight, been keeping a list.

This is me watching ‘Parks and Rec’ on my white laptop. (never my real laptop. A security episode for another day).

I’ll post about my presentation tomorrow, as well as about the grand-opening of DigiSo – West Virginia’s first digital co-working space. Such a post deserves my best attention, the place is amazing!

Wait till you see the green screen room. Remember my traffic pattern video idea? Yesss.

TTYT have a great night,

Keri

All PowerPoint All Day

I’ve never had slides for when I spoke. Had to remedy that today.

My thinking is this: if you have to have slides playing during your speech, you mustn’t be very engaging, and have already lost the game.

Took way longer to make than I thought it would. I’ve got 20 slides here, and a new respect for PowerPoint presentations. Some have over 100.

Back and forth between all hard drives… I have created 3 terabytes of content over the years, boom boom.

Then I practiced my presentation in this little simulator I set up, ha.

This is great, I now have a 5 minute presentation that I can easily and quickly modify for any audience.

Maybe my favourite slide.

Second favourite.

Then I conked out.

Saturday Nights are for Blogging

And doing your nails.

Love doing my nails.

That tool is key, learned that from @It’sBrownBarbie. My nails are even on Casie’s blog right now. Are you following Casie’s blog? You should be.

I’ve been trying stickering my nails, I get it.  Don’t bother buying cheap ones though, they don’t fit (see above), a total waste.  I’d like to try having a professional put them on.

Back to blogging.

You can tell it’s Saturday night when you see the bubbly water by my monitor. No joke, check my Twitpics.

Thursday nights though, I say it every week…

Tonight I finally got to some back-end-blog maintenance, caught up on having reliable internet again.

Made Sidebar Art.

Which is so beautiful it’s in it’s own post here.

I was going to talk on the phone while I did that, but never picked it up. Enjoyed the silence.

I’m a fan of silence. How you can fully concentrate with music on, I don’t know.

Have a great long weekend!!

Enjoy family and friends, enjoy IRL, put your phone down.

Failed Footage from Thursday

I’d set out to film the welcome video for my security show, at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens.

Too much went wrong to use any of the footage.  Hello I’m headless.

So many shots like that. I had to use my Flip Camera (RIP Flip), which doesn’t have a screen to see.

I also came out covered in shadows.

This shot’s audio is full of strangers walking by loudly.

This shot accidentally worked out.

What a waste of good curls.

I did though, take some of the footage used it to learn the new FinalCut Pro, which is a big enough deal I decided to give it it’s own post.

Have a great Sunday and long weekend!
