Hope Your May 24 Was Excellent Too

Kicked off the weekend Friday night with a beer up on high.

Look at the guy in blue behind me, ha.

Now look down.

I love the holidays in town, you have the city all to yourself.

Switched cars again, look for an orange blur around TO this week.

It’s easy to drive, the Focus.  This is the one that parks itself, too.  All. By. Itself.  Watch my video of that here.

I put a few hundred kilometres on Sunday driving to Pelham, Ontario to cheer on my cycling team, who performed great, go team!

I took a break from the internet all weekend.

Can you leave your phone alone, or one further, at home when you go out? If you can’t, that’s not good.

I cleaned a lot this weekend. I do every year around this time.

Look at that smog water; that’s the price of living downtown.

Ahhhh better. I was surprised when the floor turned out to be white.

Like my snow tires ottomans? Driver at Heart.

Spring cleaning done, and this is a very happy me.

I can’t concentrate when things aren’t in order. I’m completely moved in now.

Girls night!

Lots of long city walks.

That’s Yonge and Wellsley.

I saw $3 million in cars go by in as many minutes.

A guy tapped me on the shoulder yesterday, “hi, I’ve been following you for several blocks, you have a really great walk, and I had to tell you”.

Notice anything about my outfits in this post? I’m not wearing all black :O

You must’ve been tired of seeing me always in black, I know I was tired of blogging the photos. But one suitcase for four months means everything must match, which means everything black.

I unpacked all my clothes that had been in storage since last fall.  Colour ahoy.

Have a great week!

The Theme of Today Was Cars

Returned the Navigator. It lived up to it’s name, it’s “A Navigator”: all eye-balls are on. The moving running-boards really add to the drama. Rather than drive, I’d like to arrive in one… remember my Royals Royce opinion? Same thing.

I’ll do a proper review over on KeriOnCars.com.

That blog is taking shape. Needs heavy polishing still. The tough part is done, though: the content creation, and the base structure is built.

Grabbed this photo today for said blog.

Car swap!

(Lincoln Navigator & MKT)

Shortly after pulling out, this was my face:

It was a really good moment. I usually don’t share those moments (I find it decreases their power), but… to have been blogging about cars since 2007, to genuinely love driving, and it’s: Hi guys, hey Keri, trade ya keys, see ya next week have fun!    Thanks sincerely, Lincoln & Ford.

Last Canadian Tire run tonight in the MKT; I fit my new fake-grass 8×6 rug inside without putting the seats down.

Now I’m going to sit down on it, and put my feet up like this.

My patio area’s looking pretty good, eh.

The other theme of today was clean/move/organzie all day too, got back on top of what I call “Life Admin”, but I don’t feel like blogging about that.

But I _am_ close, SO close, to being fully moved in-done-please-I-just-want-to-sit-still-and-make-videos.

Night, TTYT

Homeless to a Complete Home in 2 Weeks

Probably more excited for the reliable internet than the bed.  For every blog post from the States I expended the energy of 3 posts.

For the home part, it wasn’t the disruption about not having one (I’m not fussed about having familiar furniture and things around), it’s the TIME you have to invest to keep it going that kills you… where’s my next bed, half the day gets eaten up transitioning, it’s too much.

The first week I didn’t have a car, thankfully this past week I did: check THIS out, picked it up Monday.

Can you tell how pumped I am.

Been collecting footage for a video, wait till you see me dis-board the thing, it’s ridiculous: I’m so little, and it’s so opposite.

Gratuitous Navigator shot.

Actually, I went from zero cars to two early Monday afternoon.

It’s was a week of unpacking and installing myself into my new home.

I found the place Thursday, signed the lease Friday,

and moved in Monday.

Been finding all kinds of fun little things.  That box “E Memories” is a video unto itself.

1Remember that song I was excited to find recently?  That’s the original.

2 – Once those magnets are displayed somewhere, I’m home. A 20 year tradition.

3 – Backing soda always gets placed everywhere.

4 – the full Nancy Drew collection. I have in mind to make an art installation with them, lmk if you have a caring home for such a thing.

Took a party break.

Congratulations on your new company, Shawn, and here’s to it being a success!  Toronto: if you are looking to plan an event, you want to use My Event Suite.

Sugar rush then back to work.

Turned my trunk into my ottoman.

I could make a whole moving category on my blog, actually I think I will, hang on… there, done.

It’s not everyday you get a new bed, I figured maybe twice, three times in your life?

Now I’m going to crawl into it.

Squishing this much into such a short time really takes it out of you.  I’m not sure how efficient this is in the long run.

Thanks for the understanding on the pause here on my blog xo.

TTYT, have a great Sunday.

I’m Mobile Again YA Buddy

Boarded the GO train yesterday morning to Oakville.  I like the train.  Probably because I don’t have to take it everyday.

Destination was Ford Headquarters.

I walked in…hi hi I’m Keri, you have a car for me. Yes we do, here are the keys.

30 seconds later, this:

THAT is class.

The first place I drove was my beloved Cherry Beach.

And I am. It’s one of my favourite places in Toronto.

I have filmed so many videos there:

This is Morning Drive
I Read You my Manifesto
Getting Sand
No More Studio
– and more.

Being mobile is important, I designed my life around it, and when I was rendered car-less last year well, that was a big problem.

See ya later problem!

Seat heaters YES. Those will stay on the entire week.

And it came pre-programmed with all my favourite radio stations. How did they know?! :|

Thank you, Ford!

I look forward to cornering the crap out of your Fiesta. Wink ;)

New Destination Reached Hi from WV

Drove and drove and 500 miles 9 hours and dull.

So many easy jokes about this town’s name.

Unpacked and plugged back in.

Always use a surge-protected power bar.

Don’t plug $000s into the wall without protection.

Then I cleaned out my fannypack. Even lint rollered the inside.

I’ll let you peek inside.

I have internet again oh thank you oh man the last two weeks were tough.

Have much to catch you up on, my security show is slowly kicking off – Smarten Up, Internet, my food blog will launch later this week, and how did Easter arrive so fast this year??
