How Did I Not Own Mirrored Sunglasses?

Me, a professional people watcher.

Really into this, don’t worry about what I’m watching :|

Overall though, nothing that exciting happened to me today.

Polished next week’s column (leasing VS financing a new car), and wrote the news : Super Mario is the spokesman for the Mercedes GLA in Japan, and it’s strange.

Hey did you hear the news that there’s a new CEO of my newspaper?  Brian Mulroney is my new mega-boss, how cool is that.

Had a thing in Scarborough.

Then a late afternoon of… manual labour.

That’s my condo’s storage locker, that I moved to a new locker, but really, why.

If I haven’t touched it in the 2 years I’ve lived here… why am I keeping it… me, the one who once gave away everything I owned. This post is now steeped in ridiculous rhetorical questions.

I’m wiped, can you tell?

You like how, on this warm sunny day, I’m wearing the same thing I did in February?

Have a great weekend, TTY Monday.

Today I am a MACHINE

No no really… up since 5am, typing eloquence mega fast, phone rings blablaYAbuddy kill it, back to typing, that awesome feeling of being deep in the zone. Bet I wrote 2,500 words today.

And for the majority of the day, I owned Autonet, 3/4 top stories are by me, look:

That’s my Ford 1.0 L review, my Jaguar F-TYPE review, and my news slot about a Volvo ad.

Hi I’m Keri, and I write THE NEWSPAPER.

Okay I’m being arrogant, here, I’ll even it out by showing you where the work came from today…

… the complete grime that is me.

Do you chair-dance too?

That’s what’s happening in this blog header.

cropped-Header-Desk-Dancing.jpg

I love to dance. Hips hips, arms and hair flip, now shoulders body roll shoulders… I’ve invented entire routines.

Maybe I’ll video that one day. Maybe.

Good I don’t work in a normal office, huh.

The last time I did was over a decade ago, which is probably best for everyone because I used to lose it, every day, around 2pm. So much extra energy from having to sit still for so long, going around trying to fight everyone, which is how I got one of my worst ever concussions.

The guy flipped me up horizontal, I met the concrete floor forehead first, got violently sick then passed out on the office couch.

I woke up in the dark, everyone gone. I mostly deserved it, except the part where this happened on a Friday.

I am happily drowning in content… including: a handful of car reviews, especially the Micra, my hockey goal win that lead to the prize of a lifetime.

And below, is last week when I interviewed the Director of Security at TELUS, and have a ton of posts about that, especially for you small business owners.

kk I cannot type or sit still any longer, I gotta get outta here, de-grime, don a dress, and then I’m off to forage for food and Coronas.

Have a great weekend, TTY Monday.

Opposite Ends of the Spectrum Day

First, I tested Ford’s 1.0L engine in their Fiesta, the smallest engine available to buy.

It which claims some of the best fuel economy out there, but was surprisingly feisty. Really.

My review will be online tomorrow morning at Autonet, and will blog it next week.

Any day with track time makes me so happy, and did okay out there today.

During the event, two of my Autonet teammates, David Miller and Jeff Voth, and I sent a message to our editor, Dan Barron.

Who responded with this photo.

I love my job.

(meet more of my team here, and David, we need to make you a tag around here.)

Then the opposite spectrum part: off to a party for an engine about 4x the size.

Transformed in 10 minutes, from track attire to party dress, inside the hotel bathroom. I should blog some of my tricks for this, have it down to a science. That dress is 10+ years old, doesn’t wrinkle, and when in doubt, wear a suit jacket.

Up to Aurora for the Porsche Macan launch,
hosted by Pfaff.

Fancy times, ladies were in full hair and makeup, I was still covered in track dust #MoreSpectrum

I can’t put my finger on why, it’s not just that they carry luxury badges, but Pfaff is one of the classiest dealerships. Will blog that event next week, too.

Then, this.

Further proof of what I always say

Thursday Night, best night of the week.

And the end.

I have to be up at 5am to keep the dream alive, TTY then.

Roughing It & Noisy Cars

Really great weekend, and one that is still happening, hi hi from not-the-city.

Still offline, still on mini-vacation. Look at me changing, I have a sort of relaxed feeling about me almost even. Have slept in my clothes 3 days straight now, yesss.

Here’s a few photos from the weekend.

That’s me in pit lane! Closet I’ve ever been, watched them change tires and refuel even. That fluorescent vest I’m wearing is why I could.

And look at that crash! That’s the checkered flag lap, and I have a video of it, maybe one of the only ones in existence, which I’ll post tomorrow.

Till then have a good day off, I will *chucks phone into seat behind*
