And That’s the 1st Month Complete

Before long I’ll be typing, and you’ll be reading: 4/12 or 33%

Had a good ending to the month.

Flew in last night, writing on the plane, and at dinner, probably 3,000 words today, curated 400 photos to 26, and tada, my fastest turn around time ever for a First Drive Car Review. Feel like that’s a real auto journalist accomplishment.

About GM’s 2015 Chevy Silverado & GMC Sierra on Autonet.ca. Prints next week.

And today marks done: challenge score = 100% on “blog updated daily Monday – Friday”. Said when I did, it’ll be added to my Twitter bio, kk, will.

Next week’s column was fun to research, “About Car Cloaking / Car Camo“.

Screenshot from a video I filmed  yesterday.

So massive, the biggest thing I ever reviewed, easily for sure.

Looks like OOK Incorporated’s recent staff expansion is successful, the 3-month mark has passed. I’ll introduce you soon. He’s how this following list can be published:

Next Week’s Videos:

– Chrysler’s slick seat system, it’s Stow-N-Go Technology!
– I’m typing fast
– I’m on a trampoline

Made a couple new headers.

Haha, but not a header.

Happy Chinese New Year today to you!
May you get exactly what you wish for this year.

Have a great weekend xo TTY Monday

The Sidebar is Looking Pretty Great, eh?!

Have you noticed the beauty?  Big blog doings, since the Sidebar is the Essence of a Blog

The new KeriBlog.com sidebar, now with:  less placeholders and more widgets; a new bio with a current photo; the return of ‘This Week’s Car’; drop down menus and multiple search bars, rotating photos, come ON

I’m being dramatic, it’s okay, it looks like nothing, I know.  But that’s 14 hours straight, no dramatics, eating at my computer, it was a Saturday, my shoulder was burning, no wonder I procrastinated so hard.

But two weekends ago, remember the big storm?  I was supposed to be travelling, so my whole day got cancelled, so I settled in, bit the bullet and built it.

I also made 50 more Sidebar Art pieces.

There’s an accompanying spreadsheet, each leads to a different post. They’re not installed yet though, just the prep work is done.

After these are live, there’s one more batch of sidebars to make, ‘Car Reviews’… I guess I can link up about 30 reviews.

After that’s done, the next project is ‘Pages’.

Have you ever clicked a link in the top nav bar?  Don’t.

Made a couple headers too.

Made 20 New Headers

Big satisfied sigh ahhh, the header portion of the blog renovation is now complete.

The code is in order, the randomizer plugin works, the photos display correctly, done.

If I put this here, then I’ll know where to find it…

Banner size = 990 x 260

Below is part of what making banners looks like.

What blogging looks like too, really: managing tons of files.

Always two folders.

Next is to create the sidebar, the essence of a blog. I organized the first batch of photos today, 92 went into a folder.

Going to backup now; friendly reminder to fellow bloggers … Tools > Export

Polishing a Blog Looks like This

Endless spreadsheets and <a href> tags.

I’d estimate this blog needs about 25 hours of polishing, to complete this website rennovation.

Notice how the site is now wider ? To accommodate 640-wide photos in all the posts.

But a wider site, means all-new headers have to be created.

I threw a few together, to test the header randomizer.

Oh wait – this way I’ll never forget…. KeriBlog Header Size = 990 x 260

Dumped 35 55 links into the link randomizer.

Look top right. It changes on refresh, and the links lead to posts I quite like.

Looking forward to creating the sidebar, what I think is the essence of a blog. That’s next.

Another great blog work session, thanks Andy, and if you need WordPress anything, call him.

I Miss My Rotating Header

Remember the old KeriBlog with a constantly rotating header, this one?

I miss it.  I miss making them.  Took a photo today and was all, oh I’ll make this into a… no, I don’t have that anymore.  That’s how this post came to be.

Replace the wood grain up there with these?  Hmmm.

Inside a Masonic Lodge come ON.

I’ve been making a ton of Sidebar Art lately. Go to BloggingAboutFood.com to see.

I’ll post them all together when I’m done. You can learn a lot about me from my sidebars.
