Big Day Today, Planetary Alignment Wise

There was a lunar eclipse this morning.

Saturn, Venus, and Mercury lined up, it’s called a “three-object alignment“.

Full moon tonight (smallest full moon of 2012, because the moon is at its farthest away)

And throughout November, you can clearly see Jupiter.

The LA Auto Show Started Today

Non-car nerds: this is a huge-deal show – important new vehicle debuts happen here.  I was there last year, with Ford.

Despite the world’s worst thumbnail, it’s a fun 1:15 video.

This year, my editor Joe, and 3 team members are there, follow the news here on Autonet.ca.

It’s one of the best places for show coverage in Canada, and, and there’ll be great wrap-up slideshows on the weekend. I’m not saying this because it’s my team, it’s because I lucked out with this job, and joined the team.

My article today.

How Loud Stuff Is

dB – sound is measured in decibels

Interesting:

buildings can crumble using sound.  There’s a theory, that that’s how the Egyptians cut stone so perfectly (a dollar bill can’t fit between the pyramid stones)

– the threshold of pain is 120 dB

below is a box of $20 headphones.

Hearing doesn’t grow back, eh.
