Jaguar: The Car Version of Old Money

I’m going to miss this car. One last weekend, goes back Monday.

It’s a 2015 Jaguar XKR, post with specs here.

Remember what I always say about this badge… it’s subtle, classy, and …

Jaguar is the car version of old money.

Claiming ownership of this expression, it now belongs to me, forever, throughout the universe, into perpetuity.

What Driving a Luxury Car is Really Like

I canNOT find the photo of this column?! Vanished. Sorry! From memory, and very basically:

It’s not just buying a luxury car,
it’s the increase in accompanying costs

I mean like big luxury, like $6-figures+

Insurance goes up and it’s premium gas only. You find yourself parking at the back of lots, because repairing damage on a luxury car gets up there quick; parts and labour costs increase, and there’s less business that service such vehicles. And OMG if you crack a splitter.

2015 Jaguar XKR Coupe

5.0 L, V8

510 hp and 461 lbs.ft

Starting at: $109,125

This one: $118,000

But ohhh to own a machine so fine.

Read it online at Autonet.

It’s Going to be an Excellent Car Week

2015 Jaguar XKR Coupe

A 5.0 L V8 engine, outputting 510 hp and 461 lbs.ft

Starting at: $109,125

This one: $118,000

This is, by far, the best car I’ve tested. Most power, and most expensive.

It’s not an interior, it’s a cockpit.

Supercharged over turbo charged, because it’s instant.

Opening the front door and seeing that car ahhh.  Satisfying. Started drinking my morning coffee in the front, so I could sit with it.

Next week’s column is about this supercar.

If you hear superfluous revving, look for me.
