When Did You Last See One of These?
The Sky Really is Bigger in Alberta
I was there with Ford, to test trucks, their newly-refreshed F-series.
We landed in Calgary, then a 100 km-ish drive to Drumheller, dinosaur capital of the world. And a small, quiet town; news of our trip made the papers.
Dinner was in the even smaller city of Wayne.
Population 27, above is the only business.
Which is an awesome place – Last Chance Saloon.
The gentleman far right would conduct the behind-the-scenes dinosaur museum tour the following day.
The place doesn’t even get cell service, everyone’s phones went to E and it was like olden times; loved it.
At the Saloon, you BBQ your own delicious Alberta AAAA amazingness.
Or in my case: put on grill, go find help (thanks Jeff!)
By far my favourite truck of the trip was obviously.
(non-car nerds: this is a beast of a pick-up truck,
Ford’s crown pickup jewel that attacks all terrain)
I have off-roading footage to edit, best part of the day. And I made a video about towing, look for it Thursday.
Thanks for inviting KeriBlog.com along Ford, I had a great time.
Happy May 24
Staying in the city during the holidays is the best, because everyone leaves.
Not sure about the design choice of the stage; so angular when everything else is curvy.
This is City Hall’s recent renovation; remember it had that little garden area off to the right) #BenefitOfBlogging I also guarded an event there in 2008
Went to the movies! A bi-annual occurrence. Second 3D movie ever.
It was IronMan 3, and maybe the best movie I’ve seen in years.
What am I wearing? Not jogging pants, at least.
It’s a lazy day today. After I hit publish, I have to polish next week’s column (about towing things), then I’m back on my mini-break from online.
Really liking this Monday – Friday publishing schedule I’ve been gravitating toward; going to keep moving KeriBlog in that direction.
Speaking of direction, had a great coffee with my lawyer, Martin. I’ve introduced you before.
When I started all this online stuff back in 2007, I took it a bit more seriously than most; still probably do.
I’m very aware of the weight of what I post online. For example, all ‘Canadian Explorer’ episodes are set to royalty free music; I always get on-camera acknowledgement and permission from the stranger I just filmed, they know it will be published on the internet; this time Martin helped out with contract stuff, because I have an employee now, so how do I properly paperwork that? Like that.
We’ve been a pair for WOAH just did the math on that… 5 years now. NICE.

Above is a collage I made to celebrate OOK’s 3rd birthday April 2011.
Next week I’ve got Alberta to tell you about; made it to the Toronto Sun today for the first time; things are really starting to fall into a rhythm with Charlotte and I; armoured car shopping; it’s the 6th year of my cycling team; off to Oregon soon with Acura; and I think I may have invented the thing of all things yeaterday, a solution of epic proportions.
If it works, I’m going to link back to this paragraph, and it’ll be like woah, how’d you stay so calm Keri… it’s that good an idea. First time I’ve ever blogged the word ‘epic’.
kk enjoy the second half of May TwoFour!!
Weather couldn’t be better EH.
