It’s Going to be an Excellent Car Week

2015 Jaguar XKR Coupe

A 5.0 L V8 engine, outputting 510 hp and 461 lbs.ft

Starting at: $109,125

This one: $118,000

This is, by far, the best car I’ve tested. Most power, and most expensive.

It’s not an interior, it’s a cockpit.

Supercharged over turbo charged, because it’s instant.

Opening the front door and seeing that car ahhh.  Satisfying. Started drinking my morning coffee in the front, so I could sit with it.

Next week’s column is about this supercar.

If you hear superfluous revving, look for me.

Returning the Jag in a Ridiculous Hat

And in Dynamic Mode, plus Sports Mode, with the exhaust on, using the paddles to rev dramatically, obviously.

I will make no money off this review; I spent what I’ll be paid on gas.

Don’t worry, reality came crashing back quickly.

It took 2 boosters to jump my Jetta, then this happened 9 km later.

Great little booster unit, here’s a post about it.

Ohhh memoriesss.

Here’s a sneak preview of the photo shoot for my review, which prints end of May.

They’re Not Googly Eyes

Me – I can’t figure out why, when you had this car last week, it was so much louder. Is it because of the engine algorithm?

Russ – [pushes the * button]

Me – what do the goggly eyes mean?

Russ – that’s a dual exhaust, Keri.

New Level of ‘This Week’s Car’ – Jaguar F-TYPE

2014 Jaguar F-FYPE Convertible

3.0L V6 Supercharged

340 hp and 332 kb-ft of torque

0-100 km/h in 5.3 seconds

Starting at $76,900

Let’s pose.

Why I like Jaguar is because it’s classy and subtle. As I’ve mentioned before

… Jaguar is the car version of old money.

And the engine note oh the sound.

Obviously everywhere I go has been in both Sports and Dynamic Mode. So if you hear a lot of superfluous revving this week, look for me.

And with this, I just graduated up to
the next level of auto journalist.

Put in 200 km on Monday alone.

My review in the newspaper runs third week of May.
