I Win the ‘Driven the Most Expensive’ Game

The car world is often about one-up-manship, so in those situations I say this:

Human: what’s the most expensive thing you’ve driven, Keri?
Me: You go first
Human: Bentley Continental GT, $276,000
Me: Warship, $millions

I say it with a smirk, because it’s a stretch for sure, but, technically I win.

Video still proof:

See the uneasy in my eyes? The thing is so tippy.

In 2009 I sailed for 2 nights with the ship, from Toronto to Sarnia.

Here is Episode #33/80 – ‘Exploring the Canadian Navy’

FF to 2:40 to watch the driving part.

At the end that’s me in uniform, firing that huge cannon. See me flinch? Exactly; natural gunner.

Here’s the blog post with more about the trip, and here’s the post about how I got myself home from Sarnia (hitchhiked on a plane).

There’s a big backstory to this episode you don’t know (because I never told you), but one day I will; it’s pretty good.

Let's Go for a Night Walk

Do you ever do that too? Just walk out the door and start strolling, no destination, just to enjoy walking and looking at stuff.

I love the PATH – world’s biggest underground city.

Stuff like this is in the PATH.

Notice it?

Google. It was a bit jarring to see it in real life like that, did a double-take.

Best public bathroom in downtown Toronto.

Bought a skirt.

Wanted a sequin one, to wear with a chunky sweater and platforms.

Took a little rest here, because now I am old omg.

Later, I put together the outfit.

Next time I have to dress up, I’ll probably wear that.

I have a hunch that the scarves I wear are about to become popular.

I’ll be accidentally en vogue.

Soon We’ll be Driving WiFi Hotspots

3G has arrived in cars.

Audi is one of the first with their 2013 Allroad.

See the SIM card slot? That’s it, tada now you’re connected.

Google Maps looks like this.

Remember my column about War Driving? I wonder how this technology will impact things like that.

PS – love that Audi is bringing back the station wagon.

Curious to see how these car networks will be secured.

Meet You in Gaylord

It’s a giant hotel & convention centre in Nashville, TN. Like, 28th largest-hotel-in-the-world giant.

I understand gay is an old word, but… it used to be called just ‘Opryland’, but the Gaylord part was added on in… 2001 ahaha.

Spotted during my ‘Avoiding Winter Tour‘ last year.
