Hope Your Weekend was Fun and Productive Too

Went to the movies, saw Mission Impossible.  I’d have edited 45 minutes out of it.

The best part was the trailer for the new Batman, have you seen it come ON.  Where the SF guys take over the plane mid air gaaah.  That’ll be the next time I go to the theatre.

Did a lot of packing and purging, moved stuff to my storage unit.

Here’s a trunk update.

If you’re just meeting me… I gave away all my belongings three months ago, everything I own now fits into that trunk, that’s what’s happening here.

1 – USB collection and little glass friends

2 – from my first away-from-home home.  I’ve hung it up in every home, ever since.

3 – office supply box, after purging

1 – putting away my fur collection, one of the only things I’ll miss about winter.

2 – a skirt from when I was 16; I keep it to keep track

3 – sadly sent to storage

My Current State of Owning as Little as Possible

Getting there, not done yet.

“I Gave Away Everything I Own in ‘My Emporium”,
and Now All My Belongs Fit In a Trunk”

I still have this to go through:

Plus I was too generous during my first round, this will also be reduced.

I’ll guess 80% of that gets purged. I’m ruthless.

I’ve always had on my backup plan list, “Professional Organizer”: I come over and sort out your life, remove the crap, and install systems for you to follow.

I’ll video a tour before I disassemble this place, show you what I’ve got it down to. Clothes take up a lot of room, and bathroom products, books weigh a ton.

It’s a King Kong trunk if you’re curious. Canadian Tire, $160.

I'm Leaving Canada!!!

I’VE DECIDED AND I’M SO EXCITED!

I don’t like winter, so I’m not going to see it this year; I’m off to the South-Eastern United States.

The timing is correct, and if not now, when?

I’m no longer ‘The Canadian Explorer’ so no such blog obligations, I gave away all my possessions two months ago, my car is fixed and I’m mobile again, so my trunk and I are outta here. And you’re coming along!

Details to come… but wanted to declare and make it official on this very sunny Sunday, which I hope is a good one for you.

My Last 24 Hours

Guys woah, until it’s ALL GONE, all of it, you don’t realize how reliant you are on electronic communication until you literally have none.

I went to 2 McDonald’s and a Starbucks, I tried my guts out to get this online… coming soon PROPER TOOLS: an iPhone I can tether to an Air, a laptop that’s just my size.

Regarding my new site well, I’ve been building it in my imagination for 2 years, and it’s as good.  The unveiling is later this week, and, maybe my favourite news, The Canadian Explorer is finally getting the home it deserves.

Here’s my home for the next two months.

I have a lot of purging to do, still. You have to be ruthless I’ve learned.

And the video ‘I Own Only One Trunk’ well, is still unedited, there’s been no time… it’s a rhythm I still haven’t found yet, but I’m getting closer.

I’m excited to edit that one, I had a lot of fun with The Emporium, the whole experience, and I have more to say about the experience, which was kinda weird.
