The 2015 Canadian International Auto Show #CIAS

It smells so good in there – new car smell turned up to 11.

First stop was the exotic room downstairs.

I was there hours before the rest of the media ha, but didn’t Tweet as much so not to bring heat to my interview subject.

Pfaff always brings the big badges.

Top is a Pagani (more about this car here, including me inside the thing), and bottom is my dream supercar – a Mclaren.

Because most cars make their debuts at either the LA or Detroit show, most of us auto journalists have seen all these cars already.

See my Top 5 list for the paper – Top 5 Favourite Things at the LA Auto Show.

Stopped by for the Acura NSX reveal. Why doesn’t everyone use this silver fabric? So dramatic.

Acura NSX Reveal

First time I saw this car in real life was Detroit a couple years ago, more about that here.

Best ad spec of the show goes to Honda’s selfie stick.

Which I used to capture the best part of any show – the people.

Here’s the website – Autoshow.ca – $23/adult, $7/kid, $45/family – February 13 – 22, 2015.

Went to the Auto Show & All I Got was This Dragon

That’s not true though.

I packed in so much, and for 3 outlets at that – for my column I interviewed the gentleman who keeps both Maserati and Ferrari polished, my blog of course, then ended the day filming a few segments with Motoring TV.

I’ll tell you all about it soon, but Friday’s is ‘deadline day’ as you know, plus my brain is mush, and that is never a mind to be posting things online.

Instead I’m off to my neighbours for a beer, I’ll cheers you TTYT

It’s Auto Show Week so that Means Woah

200 km + 2 events + haircut + a massive interview for my column = 11:30pm I’m home.

Tomorrow is the actual auto show day, so have to cut this short since I have to be back downtown and camera ready pretty early.

Driving some of those kilometres.

Okay first stop is the 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider unveiling.

Which I had to leave before the cloth came off. to make it to my interview on time. I didn’t document the boardroom, it didn’t seem appropriate but kinda regretting it now, a photo would go good here.

ingenie, coming soon to Canada – plug the device into your OBDII port, and get performance-based insurance discounts by using a safe driving style. I secured one of the few interviews about it, and they’re putting together a review unit for me try, too; neat eh.

Okay interview done, now off to the 2015 Nissan Titan reveal.

Designed by two Canadians!

Best part about these events are always the people.

The auto journalist crowd is genuinely hilarious, and I never have to dumb-down my vocabulary which is refreshing. Plus they always give me a hard time in the best way, “quick Keri, get this up on your blooooooog.”

You know those guys, Team Autonet! David Miller on the left, and Dan Barron on the right.

I’ll take more photos at the show tomorrow… probably. Whipping out your camera to document a moment completely kills it, so I err on the side of nope.

Arty rearview mirror shot.

And now it’s passed midnight, and I just realized I left a bunch of stuff freezing in the back seat so going to get that then fall on my face, TTYT
