Worked in my Car all Last Week

Wasn’t the easiest, especially in Recaro seats; it’s like typing with Tyrannosaurus Rex arms.

The back seat was slightly less arduous.

My desk, oh boy.

Friday night I was telling my neighbour all about it:

Him: isn’t your kitchen table in your trailer?
Me: yaaa…
Him: well there you go
Me: woah – the solution was here the whole time!

Tada! Pretty great eh.

Have power, and even a plant for decoration.

Anything you read by me this week will come from here.

Evidence of a Good Electrician

After holes are made to fish wire, the drywall pieces are screwed to the wall, then labeled how to puzzle them back in.

This way when it’s time to patch, instead of having to cut new pieces, just put the existing ones back in.

I’m a drywaller now.

“Stop applying the mud like nail polish, Keri.”

A good-looking junction box.

Electricians speak in symbols.

This is Progress

I know this photo looks just like 2 days ago, but it’s so different!

Electrical is almost done, 2nd coat of drywall done, windows on Monday, meet the painter Tueesday, washing machine Thursday, mirror Friday then hopefully by Friday I can sleep in my bed again.

Today was the usual Deadline Friday, wrote from the front seat of my car then downtown from my buddy’s business. Next weekly column is okay but not my strongest.

After I hit publish that’s the week complete and going offline till Sunday. Tty then, have a great weekend!

Sitting with a Stiff Drink in my Main Room

Oh guys.

Been documenting this rennovation day by day, animated gifs even, but when it comes to publishing it’s just like…

Neighbour: hold the drywall here Keri
Me: hang on, have to go blog

Imagine? “Hang on guy without Facebook, have to go talk about constructing instead of constructing, even though you’re helping me more than a normal neighbour, and my lack of effort affects the job’s progress and subsequent trades…”

But fast and great progress is being made.

But I’ve said before, this stuff takes wreaks havoc on my mind, a massive mental exercise because you know how I like stuff organized and clean.

Been working from my car, the only place in life that’s dust-free. Drywall dust is so fine eh… every wall, screen and crack will have to be vacuumed and washed, head dropped heavy as typing that.

And I know me too, would prefer to post about cars, like how the Jaguar XJL rear lights wrap like this.

But for sure it’s all worth it.

Windows are installed and it’s 100% fresher in here, and the pot lights in the foyer are elegant.

Everything’s status quo at the paper, and you know I’m good for back-dating everything that happened, including demolition, a dedicated post about what craziness we found inside the walls, and now I’m a drywaller.

Soon sorry soon.

TTYS xo thanks for always checking in.

Do I ever need a new phone.
