Been Evolving my Look Guys

Apr 6 2013

See the zipper? A fashion detail.

Now that my hair’s almost long, a ponyhawk.

Mostly I just dainty-fied my existing look eh, “classy commando”.

Two recent favourite outfits.

Bought my first eyeliner.

Signed, the world’s oldest tomboy

skirt gif

I’m wearing pencil skirts now.

Pretty comfortable too, you could sprint in this one.

Fashion show over, the tape has started to fall over the lens.

Look, it’s a triangle.

If I make this sign with my hands, does that mean I’m a member of the i1100m1n@t1?

(like how I’m avoiding being tagged for typing it?)

About them, I’ll say this:

Oh I totally get it, it’s just not my thing.

I Have the Biggest Blog Block

Feb 27 2013

Part of it is the time of year, the gray season, that’s trackable on here for years, but also…  you might say, ‘Keri doesn’t talk online a lot, Twitter and FB etc’, but for me, this is a lot of talking. In real life, I’m pretty quiet.  Like, ‘make it through entire dinner parties without speaking’ quiet.  And sometimes I just don’t feel like talking, let alone so publicly.   Yes I realize the dichotomy of having a blog and being like that. Gave up years ago trying to figure out why, then 200 videos & thousands of posts later, still don’t know.

It’ll pass, it always does.  There’ll be a 5th Anniversary blog party next year.

And I have so much going on, and have been run down and exhausted keeping up; this last quiet week has been good for me.  I look better too, puffed back out less haggard.  I wish they taught time management in school.

My Autonet articles have been fun lately, click here to read them.

Lastly, although I haven’t blogged much recently, I’ve still been documenting.  That is hard to turn off.  Not sure I’d want to.

Here’s some recent photos.

Thanks for always checking in. Appreciate it more than you probably realize.

Love,
Keri

Shots like the one make me miss having a huge header at the top of my blog.

Going to bring it back when I re-build KeriBlog. Which, remember when I shut down everything to do that?  Way too ambitious, couldn’t be done, it’s a bigger project than I anticapated.  It’s making me insane and invading my dreams.  Plus my phone is freezing, my computer is on shaky ground, it’s all a mess and adding to the blog block.

This week’s flowers. And top 3 favourite smells.

Thinking this would make a killer night-out outfit: cream mini-dress, ridiculous platforms, small chain purse worn crossways, lots of ghetto gold.

New profile pic.

Got some members for some strangers families.

Note the despondent dramatics, by how I’m about to blog a fortune cookie message I got.

Been using Android more and more. I get why people love it.

Have a Blackberry 10 review coming up (short answer – it’s solid).

That’s that’s it for now the end.

My First Autonet Article

Aug 24 2012

Autonet.ca is Sun Media’s automotive site. News, reviews, videos and used car listings from across Canada.

My article, “Puma Fashion Dresses up MINI” was the leading story going into the weekend.

Looking good eh!  Click the photo above to go read it on Autonet.

First thing I’ve ever published without an opinion. Which will take some adjusting to.

I Don’t Go Shopping, I Go Buying

Jul 20 2012

Happens bi-annually.

Around now, then 6 months from now, because those are retail’s “make everything 70% off” cycles.

Right now a proper quality t-shirt is the proper price of $20.

I went this week. I’ve never loved shopping. Much of what you see me in is a decade old. I love malls for the people and atmosphere, not for the stuff.

Surprised myself, too.

Think I’ll wear it next Saturday night in Vegas at DefCon – the world’s largest hacker conference.

Remember last year’s video Inside DefCon19 and the interview series (which is almost edited, and includes the best highlight reel I’ve ever made).

I shop alone.

On the rare occasion I require an opinion, I text a photo.

I have the toughest time finding simple, classic clothes.  Why does everything needs a ruffle or pocket or some accoutrement?

If I had a store, I’d call it ‘Plain’.

  • 1 – outfit is sneakers and something I can try stuff on over, thus avoiding fitting room time
  • 2 – I find one shirt I like, buy it in many colours. See first photo as well
  • 3 – everything gets seam-ripped off.  Tags ruin the lines, and if you’re wearing anything sheer, you must.

The Bay!

Fact: it’s North America’s oldest company :O

Go to the third floor in the Eaton Centre one… endless labels, open and airy, no one bugs you, massive sale on.

Victoria’s Secret dressing rooms are beautifully lit #NoFilter.

‘Plain’ would definitely copy their lighting scheme. Sales ahoy.

Quick Update

Oct 9 2011

I’m all settled into my new home, look: all white and minimal, just the way I love it.

First thing I did upon arrival was remove the stuff on the walls and slide it under the bed.

I’m at that in-between computer switchover phase, you know the one, stuff on both. Ahhhh the Air, it feels almost like, too nice for me. I probably love the Air more than you do.

In my new neighbourhood there’s old architecture like this, and trees.  Where I came from there was neither, and it’s nice.

Here’s Casie, Breanna and I this week doing Dance Heads to that big butts song, click here to watch the video.   I couldn’t figure out how to embed here from Facebook sorry.  Thanks for a fun night, High Road!

Recent outfits.

The biggest Happy Birthday to my little brother!!

I adore you and am so proud of you! XO

He’s the one making me laugh so hard in this video.

Found this while packing.

I’m off to a party, TTYT!

Here’s to a great Sunday long weekend night, and an early Happy Thankstaking to you!
