Oddly Numbered Things for Sale

The 4 donuts look lonely in the package built for 6, and no one wants to buy sad donuts.

Sort of for sale.

Because space on my blog is for sale, and my blog is me, but I’m also the salesperson, so how many people removed from myself the commodity huh what is happening, it gets weird.

It’s like opposite land on the other side of that fence, eh.

Spotted during the test drive of Hyundai’s all-new Santa Fe in California.

Saw lots of border cops patrolling the hillside on bikes, drove through a temporary pop-up customs checkpoint, serious stuff. We don’t have anything like this in Canada, for which I’m grateful.

I walked through a turnstile into Mexico a few years ago. It was amazingly easy to enter the country, it was literally a turnstile like in the subway; not as easy to get out.  Overheard lots of people were there for “dentist appointments“.

 

The Internet was Turned Off

Spotted in the Atlanta airport ATL. Daydreamed what would happen if the interent was turned off here…

I imagine the first 8 hours being really fun, people going outside, changing their routine, finding the joy in not being connected.  Then around hour 16 it starts to sour, and by hour 30 stuff is headed downhill fast, hundreds of thousands of people in withdrawal, and everything disintegrating because… what does the internet not touch?

How would I get money to buy food?  If the food even got to the store, because how would the truck get gas, and and and…
