My system: buy properly once, spend the extra money, then use it for years.
That’s the key to this system, though – not needing new, and never buying it.

Our New Canadian Plastic Money
Remember when I told you were getting new money? It has arrived, the bank gave me one today.
They’re made of a polymer that is washable, they’re expected to last 2.5 times longer than our current cotton currency, and difficult to counterfeit.
The $100 bills are out, the $50 bill arrives in March and the rest will be distributed by 2013.
