Canadian Cars are Different than the USA’s

Jan 23 2013

Our Canadian cars are different than the same model sold in the States. We have more in common with European buyers than those south of the border.

Speaking with Tim Franklin, Nissan’s Senior Manager of Product Planning, we find out how and why.

Read in online on Autonet.ca

Favourite line:

Nissan conducts Canadian-specific tests, to ensure such things as if a Tim Horton’s coffee cup fits comfortably inside the cupholder.

Differences Between CDN & USA Part 3

Jan 31 2012

Here’s Part One and Part Two

Trailer parks are more popular in the States.

I had an Airstream dream for a while.

The lottery is pushed harder here.

You rarely see machines like this in Canada.

Kerosene is used to heat homes.

I’m definitely in a Southern US Walmart.

Note the little pink one far right.

Lastly.

Differences Between CDN & USA Part 2

Jan 16 2012

Here’s Part 1.

Way better breakfast cereals.

We don’t often see these in Canada.

This one’s more of a “woah I’m definitely not in Toronto anymore” moment.

And don’t think I’ve ever seen a Canadian publication like this.

Differences Between CDN and USA

Jan 5 2012

I’ll probably do a few posts like this during my trip, there’s so much.

Way more driving-through-tunnels.

You can buy cigarettes in a bar… and then smoke them inside :O

Alcohol is sold in drugstores.

Styrofoam is way more popular here than in Canada.

Hands-free gas pumping.

Remember when they took those away years ago, Canada? I never understood why.

Just jam your gas cap into the handle, that’s what I do.

Same girl though, no matter what side of the border.

Have a great Thursday!!  Best night of the week.
