Canada’s Biggest Classic Car Auction is Coming Up

Apr 1 2014

It’s the ‘Toronto Spring Classic‘ this weekend, out by the airport.

It’s car candy everywhere.

And amphibious vehicles.

Like this 1963 Amphicar.

These cars brighten up a blog, but don’t interest me.

This does.

I love the super cars of when we grew up.

26 years ago this was IT.

But the best part is hearing the auctioneers talk.

Ahah guy at the end.

The auction happens this weekend, go too; it’s a fun afternoon, that’s different from the norm, wandering around hundreds of different cars…

Company spokesperson Terry Lobzun gave me the scoop on what’s coming up…

“Got a fabulous line up – a lovely art deco ’35 De Soto Airflow, barn-find ’36 Packard hotel limo, ’52 Chevy ice cream truck, ’58 Ford Ranchero, a sweet as pie ’64 Mercedes 230SL, and the usual hot rods, sports and muscle cars.”

Driving in Kentucky Looks Like This

Mar 31 2014

Kentucky is quite pretty, too bad it’s all grey and not showcasing that.

I was there a week ago with Chrysler, and their all-new 200 mid-size sedan.

Read my full review on Autonet.

Short review: the 200 went from barely competing, to the one to compete against.

Driving in the video is Jeremy Sinek, not me.

We are a Road-Test-Mega-Team.

Jeremy: why are you making us pose with our heads down?
Me: because you always say you don’t like your photo taken. Even though you have a whole blog section here :|
Jeremy: ugh Keri fiiiiine
Keri: Road-Test-Mega-Team unite!

The Mystery of the Checkered Flag

Mar 26 2014

A worldwide recognized pattern, but…  its internet footprint is surprisingly small,  merchandise bearing the pattern it is very tough to buy, there’s a cloudy origins story and little research done to clarify things.

Read it online at Autonet.

Favourite line:

Guys I found a hole in the internet. Why does such a pervasive recognized pattern have such a small footprint?

Also ha that’s my scarf that got printed.

Cool USB Key

Mar 24 2014

One of the neatest I’ve received from an automaker.

Here’s another good one.
