To Nashville with Nissan

Nashville, Tennessee – where the all-new 2014 Nissan Rogue is built; that’s why there.

I’ve always liked this city, here’s the blog tag.

Jeremy Sinek and I were drive partners again, I’ve introduced you before. We are hilarious.

We found this odd, movie-set-town inside the city; fake-land.

Not being a fan of music, the best of this city is lost on me.

Still fun night out with the auto journalist gang.

Some of us became obsessed with this street magician; he was so good, I’ll put him in his own post later this week. He put a cigarette out into my shirt.

Brand-new hotel, the Omni, it’s 2 weeks old new.

Which is how this came to be…

What’s wrong with this photo?

I’m laying on a hotel bed spread.

Cesspool!  Usually soon as I enter the room, that thing gets ripped off and kicked in a corner.

Driving Elation

Filmed in Napa CA, while testing the new VW 1.8L Turbo.

Ridiculous changes in elevation, not one straight line,
through beautiful terrain, on a clear blue sky day…
alone on total video game roads.

Manual all day long, too.

One of my best driving experiences to date.

Here’s the post about that trip. And another video, and about the car.

Land Rover LR2 VS Range Rover Evoque

I had both of these, during the same week, in the summer.

This is the LR2 – the entry level Land Rover.

Land Rover LR2
Starting at $39,990

Within the Land Rover family however, there’s the Range Rover segment.

Save up another $7,000 (17% of total) and
move up to the next model, the Range Rover Evoque.

Range Rover Evoque
Starting at $46,995

Powerful engine, sporty handling, beautiful exterior styling, the coupe doors are still functional, and the interior is functionally-classy.

And driving it well, the Evoque makes an impression.
